visual impacts/ first impressions are very important if your CV looks boring or is to long and wordy they just wont bother.
tailor it to every job you apply for
need to have perfect gramma and spelling (so would be good to get someone to check it over to make sure its right)

Enhanced communication and promotional strategies
Kenneth Cole - 'The birth of a shoe company' he wanted to preview his line of shows a Market Week at New Yorks Hilton Hotel but didnt have enough money. He inquired about a parking permit to put a trailer two blocks down from the hotel. You could onyl get a permit if you were a production company so Cole changed his company name to Kenneth Cole Productions. He then went on to film 'The birth of a show company'. In 2 1/2 days he sold forty thousand pairs of shoes.
Here is one of his newer videos.
'American brand name shoe designer Kenneth Cole has started a new ad campaign with the theme "we all walk in different shoes", featuring matisyahu [hassidic reggae artist] among others, recognizing interesting individuals who have refused to conform to societal boundaries.'

'Vancant' - exhibition store that opened for a month in a different countries.
'Imitation of Christ' - perspex box selling different stuff (puppies, dresses)
December 2005 Collette and Comme de Garson store - 'Vacant accused them of stealing their idea)
Companies want to try and attratch new customers. They do this by advertising in a new and creative way. It gets customers interested because the coompanies are doing something different. And thats what eveyrone wants to be apart of.
Adidas pop up truck
Diesel - Save yourself campaign
I really enjoy Diesel's campaigns. Sometimes a little bit too confusing and not in focus like 'Pete the meat puppet' but overall they draw in new customers and keep their olds ones interested.
I found this interview in ID magaizne Spring 2010. With Renzo Rosso the founder of the hugely successful Diesel brand.
Ambeint media - use environment to advertise, plant sceen and crop circles.
Like this advert above a unrinal advertising Mini's. Using popular landmarks works well.
Wonderbra - uses good humour
Interactive billboards.
Installations - Orange bikes that were put all around New York city by DKNY. Although in cases like these it can back fire. White bikes are put in place when a cyclist has died in a cycling accident. So these orange bikes were seen as a disrespect.
Pantene shampoo gives out free samples. This is a very good way of getting people to try your product. It makes it really easy for them to do this and good way of getting new customers.
Anne Sofie Back - video linking to store. 'Crimes against fashion' exhibition of all her rejected work. Makes her old work 'cool' and people will want to buy it.
